Almost anything Star Wars is an A+ in my book (one exception being Jar Jar Binks)! I found out about this run right after we finished the Viper Challenge in February and I immediately signed up for it. The most difficult part was picking between the Light Side or Dark Side for runner entitlements!
Sooooo, I sneaked in a 10k during a weekend trip to Los Angeles because I could! Most of the run was done on Hollywood Blvd and we started at Dolby Theater and El Capitan Theater, where many movie premieres happen!
Signing up for the Viper Challenge was what pushed me into going to gym consistently. I didn’t actually know what I signed up for but Sammie S was very convincing (it didn’t take much convincing because I was interested anyway) and I was all like “LEGGO”. And then I saw the YouTube videos…
Cathy C’s college friends had planned a trip to Masungi Georeserve for a couple of months now and this past Saturday was the time to head out! Cathy and I decided to take one car and got to the parking lot of the georeserve 1.5 hours early! We were scared of the possible traffic but hey, the roads going there are surprisingly smooth because they’ve all been repaved. If you plug in “Masungi Georeserve” on Waze, it should direct you right to the parking lot entrance. BTW, it took us about 1.5 hours from Greenhills, San Juan all the way to the park.
When in Hong Kong you must get Chinese food. By Chinese food I mean Cantonese food because when in Rome…
We hit up 大班樓 The Chairman with my 師傅, Auntie Pearl who has been trying to time a reservation with our visits for the longest time. So glad we finally made it through!
I’d apologize for being an absent poop! I have no excuses aside from the long weekend where I found myself in Singapore visiting my very good friend, Sammie S!
Before I say anything about hiking or traveling or the like, lemme just say that Google Maps is your friend. Your very very good friend especially if you don’t want to get lost.
While Sam was at work on Monday, I had the whole day to explore until we met up for dinner. I’d seen the usual Singapore sights but I have never taken a hike or anything strenuous because my city girl ass can’t take that.
Elephant Mountain (象山/xiangshan). I’ve seen it on Instagram very often recently and frankly, I wanted to catch a good view of Taipei too. Even if it meant hiking up a mountain in the middle of the city. Make sure the weather is nice and clear so all your hiking efforts won’t be for naught!
